Flat Plan Ideas

These are images of my flat plan. On the left is a plan of my DPS, just to show my DPS could possibly turn out. I will be using this plan as a guide when creating my DPS. The second image beside the DPS plan, is a plan of my front cover. I'll also be using this plan as guide during the process of making. To achieve this layout for my magazine, I will be using Photoshop to create the DPS, Front Cover and the Contents page. This is just a rough idea of how my product could potentially look like but it may change as I actually begin to make it. For these products I want the main image to stand out the most, I want it to be evident that this magazine is an Afro-beats magazine as there aren't many Afro-beats magazines out there in stores so I'm using my own ideas and knowledge of the genre to create something very original/authentic.

School Magazine Analysis

This is an image of my attempt at making a contents page for my school magazine 'term 12'. I used sixth form students as my models and the reason why I did this is because the target audience for my magazine are between the ages of 16-18. I took a range of pictures so that I could select the ones that fit the idea I was going for. I wanted this magazine to encourage students and to give them advice on how to make it through the sixth form years, which is why I have images of happy students, tired students that are 'over it' (that would be the image in the top left corner) and I have an image of a student opening up her results, which is ultimately the watershed moment in a young students life!

Here are images that I planned to use for my contents page. All these pictures were taken in St.Angela's Ursuline school but most of the images are of sixth formers at the magazine is based on the transition from secondary school (year 11) to sixth from year 12-year 13, and they are my target audience.
